Some students said it is being sold in Mini Stop. So, one afternoon, on my way home, \u00a0I dropped by the convenience store Mini Stop and tried the Japanese style Halo-halo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1015-1-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-550\" src=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1015-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2448\" height=\"3264\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was a little bit disappointed because I was expecting to have the kind of Halo halo that I know.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, what I got is the one below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1017-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-552\" src=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1017-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2448\" height=\"3264\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-553\" src=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1014.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2978\" height=\"1282\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThere are four choices of Halo halo in Moni Stop. From left to right: Halo halo hakutou (white peach), Halo halo ramune (lemon soda), Halo halo kuromitsukinako (soybean in blackhoney?), and Halo halo reitou mikan (frozen oranges). I got the the first one on the left. It cost me \u00a5270 yen. It&#8217;s far from what I know Halo halo is but it&#8217;s good as what it is.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Philippine Halo halo<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1022.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-555\" src=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1022.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1022.png 640w, https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1022-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1022-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>Halo halo is a famous dessert in the Philippines. It is made of finely crushed ice, top with fruits (usually jackfruit, banana, avocado,) sweet corn, red and green gelatin, ube, nata de coco, <i>sago, <\/i>sweet buko (coconut flesh), sweet beans, cornflakes, sugar, milk and finally ube ice cream on top. Halo means mix in English. \u00a0 \u00a0You have to mix it before you eat it to enjoy this awesome dessert at its best<b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1019-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-554\" src=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1019-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1019-1.jpg 236w, https:\/\/maryanila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/img_1019-1-228x300.jpg 228w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 236px) 100vw, 236px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>One serving of Halo halo is about \u20b140.00 equivalent to about \u00a5100.00. &#8220;Yasui!!!&#8221;, means cheap.
