🌿 My Simple DIY Plant-Watering Method! 🪴💧
Since I was going to be away for three weeks, I needed a way to keep my plants watered while I was traveling. So, I tried this simple DIY method using a bucket of water and cotton ropes.
I filled a bucket with water and placed one end of each rope in the bucket. The other end was placed deep into the soil of each plant. The rope slowly carries water from the bucket to the soil, helping keep the plants watered while I’m away. 🌱💧
But I made one mistake! 😅 I didn’t put the end of the rope deep enough at the bottom of the bucket. When the water level went down, the rope was left hanging above the water, so it could no longer absorb water. 🤦♀️
I think I also overwatered one of my plants. 😅 It had too many ropes, so it probably got more water than it needed. When I came back, some of its leaves were brown and the plant looked like it was struggling. 🥺🌿
Lesson learned: Not every plant needs the same amount of water! Next time, I’ll make sure the ropes reach the bottom of the bucket and use fewer ropes for plants that need less water.
Still, this little DIY watering system worked for most of my plants! 🌿🥰
